With its companion web site, Black’s Guide provides FREE comprehensive and accurate data that helps deal-makers quickly find and compare properties and then locate the right people to contact.

Black’s Guide has hired Silver Web Designs to create online maps to compliment the popular Black’s Guide directories.

I’m sure that if you have been to SilverWebDesigns.com before, you cannot help but notice the drastic change in our appearance. The difference is literally night and day.

There is more information about our projects on this site than there was previously. Additionally, we want to communicate more information about web designs in an effort to educate and promote good simple, useable, and attractive interfaces and web sites. Good site architecture and user friendly web sites make the Web a very happy place to be.

Why did we do it? There is an old adage about a plumber’s house having leaks because he is too busy fixing everyone else’s leaks. The same became true of our own site. It had become an unfortunate victim of inattention.The old design was very monochromatic - all black, white and greys. With the old design, we had taken a very minimalist approach and kept it very simple and clean. (A bit too simple. ) Though we are strong advocates of simplicity, we felt that the old design was too simple and our message of beautiful, simple, clean and easy was not conveyed as well as it could be.

With fond memories, we have now said goodbye to our old look. It served us well for a while. May it rest in peace.
